Furniture & Interiors
We value and sell all manner of furniture such as chairs, dining tables, card tables, chests of drawers, sideboards, cabinets and so on. These include period furniture from early hand-crafted pieces of the 17th century, through the Georgian era of fine mahogany pieces by famous makers, the ornate and embellished designs of the Victorian years, right up to 20th century modern branded furniture such as Ercol and G Plan. As you would expect, we also have extensive experience in valuing and selling Yorkshire oak furniture by such iconic craftsman as ‘Mouseman’ and his followers.
This expertise was demonstrated in November 2025, when we achieved a world record price for a single piece of Mouseman furniture.
Apart from furniture, this department also covers other decorative and functional furnishings such as clocks, mirrors, lamps, sofas, rugs, and carpets. At Hawleys we have a wealth of experience in valuing and selling a wide range of furniture and interior furnishings and will be happy to give you the benefit of our knowledge.
